Intranet Connections Technical Mo Bros

With only one week left the Intranet Connections ‘ICGROMO’ Team, consisting of 8 Mo Bros, 1 Mo Dog and a Mo Sista, have come a long way in raising awareness and gathering donations for the funded programs of Movember.  If you missed the Movember intro blog, have a quick read to meet the team and discover what Movember is all about.

So far, the team has raised over $3,800 in the fight against prostate and testicular cancer, as well as men’s mental health challenges.  They have also garnered much attention from friends, family and complete strangers for their moustache attempts, sparking conversation about the importance of regular cancer screenings. Contribute to the team’s efforts and check out our Mo Bro’s Movember ‘staches on our ICGROMO Team Page.

The last, but certainly not least, Mo Bros to be featured on our blog are our Lead Support Technician Ayendra Susanthan, our Product Manager Neil Chong-Kit and our Graphic Designer Cam Dred.  For 25 days these Bros have grown, trimmed and perfected their MoBro ‘staches, all in an effort to raise money in support of Movember.

Ayendra Susanthan, Lead Support Technician

AyendraEarlier this year Intranet Connections was searching for a new Support Technician to join our team and caught wind of an extremely talented IT Helpdesk Technician working for the local municipal government. Although he was not looking for a new position at the time it was decided after a short interview that Ayendra was a perfect fit for Intranet Connections and he was quickly stolen away from government into the private sector.

With over 5 years IT experience Ayendra brings a humorous, fun and upbeat attitude to the Intranet Connections family.  He is passionate about achieving success within a team environment and has easily adapted to our creative and collaborative company culture.

Ayendra believes his ‘stache to be the weakest and most scraggly of the bunch and tries to make up for it by looking extra disheveled and raising a lot of ‘pity’ money. Help Ayendra raise money for Movember, and check out more photos of his scraggly ‘stache on his Movember Page.

Neil Chong-Kit, Product Manager

NeilNeil Chong-Kit is a forward thinking professional with over 14 years of experience. He holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from Simon Fraser University. After graduating in 1998, Neil traveled and worked in many countries, before settling down back into his beautiful hometown of Vancouver, Canada.

During his career, Neil was critical in growing CE-Infosys’s presence in Singapore, and helped the Calgary based internet start-up get off the ground.  He is currently enjoying his role as Product Manager at Intranet Connections, helping shape the future of corporate intranets. Neil notes that “a well designed intranet can make people’s time at work more productive, more enjoyable and less stressful. Given how much time we all spend at work, improving that experience improves people’s lives”.

Neil surprised us all when, a week into Movember, he was already sprouting a prominent ‘stache.  As the month comes to an end he has shaped his moustache into something just shy of extraordinary, and one wonders if December will mean an end to this masterpiece or if it will stick around for a little while longer in all its glory.  Something tells me that if Neil’s wife has anything to say about it his upper lip will be quite chilly next week!  Help Neil raise funds this Movember by donating to his Movember Page.

Stay posted as we post an ICGROMO Team photo later this week with the end of the month moustache shot, and hold our contest for the best Mo!
