I N T R A N E T    H O M E    P A G E The Intranet Connections home page is comprised of many components, all of which are customizable and optional. Content boxes can be created, fully customized, re-ordered or removed. Add your own graphics, flash elements, custom messages, corporate information, RSS feeds, and dynamic data. What's New: Advertise site content to the home page and provide users easy access to current and relevant information at a glance. Use thumbnail graphics to go with your What's New advertisements My Alerts: Centrally manage content alerts and tailor to individual needs. Set alerts for new, or updated, content that is published to areas of the site that interest you My Approvals: From the home page, Approval Managers can quickly review a list of all items pending their approval and take action on them My Bookmarks: Want quick access to a page on the intranet site? Users can bookmark any page on the site with the click of an icon, placing a link in their My Bookmarks area on the home page. You can also create bookmarks to favorite internet web pages Content Boxes: Create unlimited content boxes to pull stock quotes, local weather or RSS Feeds onto the intranet home page. Insert simple text messages, add more links to popular features, or congratulate employee milestones New Employees: Welcome new employees for each department and display a picture, set up through the Department Pages application and advertised dynamically on the intranet home page Employee Birthdays: Add employee birthdays to the Phone List records and a birthday wish will display for each employee on the intranet home page Employee Anniversaries : Add employee anniversaries to the Phone List records and the anniversary and the number of years in service for each employee will display on the intranet home page Survey Polls: Advertise new Survey Polls, published through the Survey Polls application, to your intranet home page. Determine the order in which it appears with the other home page elements. Thought of the Day: Bring a new inspirational thought each day to your users. Pre-loaded thoughts are provided with Intranet Connections. Choose to customize the Thought of the Day and rename it to use in a different capacity, such as Word of the Day or Help Tips Site Search and Employee Quick Search: Choose to display a Site Search and/or Employee (Phone List) Quick Search from the intranet home page Full Text Searching:> Full text searching is fully integrated within the product and is extremely simple to implement with one click of a button Customize the Home Page: All of the home page elements are customizable and can be set to display or hide. Upload your own graphics to the home page, and embed scripts or use Flash swf files to add a more graphical interface
