Save time with Active Directory Synchronization by quickly and easily syncing your users onto your Financial Intranet. This allows your user data to just be managed within your Active Directory, and any changes made will be automatically pulled over to the Employee Directory on your intranet. Establishing an Active Directory Connection
Active Directory Synchronization allows you to link your Financial Intranet to your Active Directory. Any changes made in Active Directory, such as users contact information, job title or department, will automatically be pulled in after the time interval set under your Active Directory Synchronization settings leading to a significant reduction in administration of logins and employee profiles. It also gives you the ability to seamlessly sign users into the site with their domain credentials.
Syncing AD Groups & Managers
Active Directory Synchronization will not only pull over your individual AD Users onto your Financial Intranet, but your Active Directory Groups & Managers as well. Selecting targets to sync, such as logins or groups, allows you to pull over only the desired users and groups to your intranet. Defining targets helps to narrow the scope of what you are bringing over from your Active Directory.
Employee Active Directory Synchronization
Syncing login data allows your users to seamlessly sign into the site with their domain credentials, which is a huge time saver. However, we’ve taken Active Directory Synchronization one step further and added employee sync as well, which flawlessly pulls in employee data such as department, location, title, job description and much more. This information can be updated in Active Directory and then automatically pulled onto your Financial Intranet. In addition, you can allow for multiple domain and target definitions with a preview of the items for a given target. This is extremely handy for a merger and acquisition situation where one directory has different fields filled out and you only want to sync up important fields from each directory.
When configuring your Financial Intranet to use Active Directory Authentication, it is possible to enable single-sign on so that employee network logins are passed to the intranet and your users are automatically logged into the software each time they visit your intranet. In order to effectively assist in enhancing your internal business processes, your Financial Intranet needs to be easily accessible to your users. Not having to enter login credentials each time the site is visited saves time, encouraging higher adoption rates. With pass-through authentication they can visit the site in one click, simply by opening their browser.
